After lunch in the Latin Quarter, I crossed the bridge and had a raspberry sorbet cone at the famous Berlhillon- Paris' version of Firenze's Vivoli. It was really good, but perhaps not quite as good as Vivoli.
Next headed to the facade for a photo op while the light was still brilliant. It was warm today, but comfortable.
Notre Dame has amazing examples of Gothic sculpture and, like the Mona Lisa, often is taken for granted until you are in front of it, in person. I've always felt like you can't understand the fuss about Botticelli until you see his work in person because the subtlety of his color doesn't reproduce well. Interesting to see the original stages and where the expansion took place during the 19th century. It's still fairly dark inside so I would imagine it would have been extremely dark before the flying buttresses saved the day. The rose windows are truly breath-taking.
By the end of my visit the weather was changing and headed back for dinner.
