Arrival

Gorgeous, yet brisk morning here as I landed around 7AM. Surprisingly, I feel quite refreshed with no sleep. I spent the last couple of nights staying up quite late, at least for me, in anticipation that would help me get a jump on the lag. It has.

The first thing I noticed upon arriving is how much remodeling St. John's has done. The entire courtyard has been repaved and new trellises have been installed. It looks really quite wonderful.

So, I'm heading out to get some espresso and over to Luxembourg Gardens.  Its nice and sunny here so I'll be sure to take some pics and update a little bit later this evening.  Here's a pic of the Grand Palais I took this morning on my way into Saint Germaines de Pres this morning.  Its from the Pont de la Concorde.
